Protects Everyone Equally - Clip 11

PEKIDA was behind the demonstration. After the demo was call off, one of the youth was saying, "da habis ker, tak ada air dan makanan, lapar ini, kering tekak". I believe, Muslim friend's shall be given a rights to express their disatisfaction against the Bar Council for organising the forum but it's totally unacceptable to stop the forum in half way. Our men in blue's was taking side and pleased the crowd, fail to act when few PEKIDA thugs use vulgar words against the participants. If professional's as Bar Council was deny the rights to dialogue in professional manner then how are we going to move forward together. The forum was not to question the "Islam" status but it was more on looking the solution for non-muslims. Non-muslims have no remedy when the case involve syariah matter's. We need a law that can protects everyone equally.

This is the New Straits Times report today on Ragunathan explanation:

While recognising and respecting Article 121(1a), Ragunath said it was unjust to compel anyone to be subjected to laws and courts based on a religion that the person did not profess.

He said the council was “troubled” by the continuing calls from certain quarters that the forum be cancelled.

Claims that the forum would create misunderstanding, anger and tension were in stark contrast with the government’s assurances of more dialogue, Ragunath said.

“The forum is not about conversion per se as the council endorses the absolute right of individuals to embrace Islam.

Instead, the forum will address the ancillary issues that arise from such situations and will emphasise the need for laws, and a judicial system, that protects everyone equally.

“It is the continued suppression of open and respectful discourse, not public forums, that will cause tension and jeopardise national unity.

“We are taking the necessary precautions to ensure that the dialogue takes place in a controlled and constructive manner, by holding the forum in a closed setting and requiring participants to register for the event.”

Independence Month

I’m really shocked when I saw, our national flag was in deplorable shape and we are celebrating the independence day in August. This shall not happen at all yet it’s seems no one bother although the flag pole was exactly opposite the DBKL building. KL which comes under the federal territory ministry shall look into it rather than bickering internally within the party. Ganja Saravanan on his blog said, he born and grown up near to the Kampung Baru but what he doesn’t understand was, born and growing in a certain places not means he will know all the details. I will be happy if he stop talking and writting non-sense in his blog and look into the broader issues. Any way I hope you can spent your valuable two minutes to watch the clip and and give me your comment.

Four Hindraf Brothers Detained

The four detained after they refuse to disperse in twenty second; S.Jayathas, S.Poobalan, K.Balakrishnan and B.Susila. They were picketing near the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre by holding leaflet. The group member's was less than 30 people and their intention was only to highlight the existence of draconian law "Internal Security Act" and the unlawful detention of five Hindraf brothers. Is that wrong? Never cross their mind or any Hindraf subscribers to cause any damage or security threat to any one including the foreign International Law makers who are attending Commonwealth Conference. The worst part the policeman force B.Susila to share the same lock-up with the un-known man. This is totally unaccepted decision. She was practising her rights to express her feeling in peaceful manner but the police have humiliated her dignity by putting her in the same lock-up with unknown. The police action was totally different when PM son-in-law was demonstrating illegally with hundreds of his thugs in the same locations when US Secretary Condoleezza Rice was present for the government conference. The police not only have given him security but even refuse to spray him with chemical water as they did to all the other demonstration and fail to charge him for illegal demonstration under Police Act.

Anwar Released on Bail

Anwar Ibrahim pleaded not guilty and released on personal bond of RM20,000 without surety, case set for mention on Sept 10 pending transfer to High Court.

"I will not Back Off"

Anwar in his press statement said. He will not back off even if the umno put him behind the bar in Sungai Buloh. He stress definitely he will stand in by-election. The whole process of sodomy charges was done in bad intention or what Anwar call as "political conspiracy" to stop him from taking over the power from umno. While umno man's philandering and running after the other person's property, its shame and really disturbing to read the way our country administered by the umno politicians. To secure the power they are willing to do any thing including racial sentiment provocation. Its really shame, police report and statutory declaration against umno man were not investigated in right way but then they go after the man who lodges the report. There is a limit for every thing but then umno have gone over the border and they will pay for it. The CHANGE will start from Permatang Pauh.

Why Not Now and Why By June 2009?

The so-called iron lady of Malaysia which was thrown away by his boss from Cabinet after the 12th GE said she will step down by end of June 2009 as woman section head for the ruling party umno. The party election was schedule in October 2008 and it is the grass root wish to see the changes in woman section even to the president and deputy president post after the worst result in Malaysian political history. Unfortunately, the power greedy leaders refuse to interpret the signal and so keen to safeguard their position rather than party. Rafidah said she will resign by Jun 2009 but if that were her intention to hand over the power within six month after the party election, why can’t she do it at the party convention in October it self? That sounds much better rather than resigning after 6 month. Her un-productive actions will create more vacuum and problem to the section. Aiyooo makcik rafidah, why so greedy? Don’t you have brain to think for the party if you really care? Rather then resigning after six month it’s much better to abstain from seeking re-election. At least the new comers will have time to re-strategies the party struggle. Hope fully Sharizat won’t be fool by Rafidah.

Anwar Ibrahim for Permatang Pauh

Anwar Ibrahim has kick-off his by-election campaign for Permatang Pauh parliament seat, with 50 thousand people attended as a show of the solidarity support. Definitely the present of huge crowd will make umno sleep less from tonight until the election is over. Btw Annuar Musa, Kelantan umno chairman said BN shall boycott the bye-election. For what ever reason I feel this is one of the most stupid ideas to buy from umno man. Umno is the government and if umno it self boycott his own government machinery run by-election............... well I dont’ want to complete the sentence because you know the guy who try to sell his idea is another brain less man.
