Malaysian deserved live telecast

New Malaysia Information minister Y.B.Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek has projected his self a bit higher transparent and openess then his predecessor, Zainudin Maidin. He deiceded to go on-air during the parliament question & answer session and he was the first cabinet members to recognise the role played by bloggers. ZAM refused to take the Q&A session to live telecast with the reason cost will be very high and Malaysian by general are not ready for the live telecast although people knew ZAM is one of the low performing cabinet members which fail to contribute on developing the "modal insan" concept. Now both reason was sent to recycle bin by his successor.

But what make me wondering is, whether the Malaysian standard is only 30 minutes? Do Malaysian really deserve live telecast for 30 minutes only although the Q&A session is one hour? In fact the previous legislative hall do agreed by principal to increase the Q&A session to 2 hrs. So why do Shabery agreed for 30 minutes only when you can ask your tv to go live telecast on uninformative speech delivered by your flip-flop party president? Malaysian deserved the full legislative live telecast and this is one of the way to monitor the performing and none performing MP's. I want to see my PM's, performance in the hall and definately this is one of the way to disciplined the MP's who behave like beruk in the hall.

U-turn: Osai back to circulations

[updated: 15:45 / 24 April 2008: sms from readers: India samuthayin Oli Vilakku "Makkal Osai" coming on Saturday.]

Home Ministry has made an about-turn, re-issued Tamil newspaper Makkal Osai's publication permit. The daily expected to be back in circulation this Saturday. Well same story as 31 Hindraf boys attempted murder case. At first they was charged with attempted murder but then, the case was drop. The reason was umno want to teach a lesson to Indians. Now it's Makkal Osai turn, close down and then umno said, you can continue the daily.

First Malaysian Indian Speaker

[updated 23:59 / 24 April 2008] First Malaysian Indian, appointed as a speaker for Perak state assembly. Reliable informer said, Y.B.Sivakumar, Tronoh state asemblyman is the candidate for the state speaker. The history will named him as a first Malaysian Indians who has been appointed as a state speaker. This is a history for Indians and Malaysians. State speaker is a second highest position's after the Menteri Besar. This is a good move from "Pakatan Rakyat" since they promised the new Malaysia for all Malaysian and of course this is bad information for Semi Value's party. They are still begging to Pahang MB to appoint MIC man as an EXCO yet MB are not bothered about the appeal. MIC was so loyal to umno yet umno has never give a due respect to this party. With more appointment's from Indian community in Pakatan Rakyat's government, I'm dare to say, the chances for MIC to regain the lost ground is getting slimmer. Valga Makkal Sakthi. [Having some problem with my blog which I couldn't update any news from my mail, otherwise I have updated this news as early as 7:30 am 24 April 2008]

Congratulations to IPF member's

Just want to say congratulations to all IPF members on the appointment of Pandithan's wife, Padmashri Pandithan as an acting president of the party. IPF is another dying Indian based party because president administered the party as though his personnel property. So I believed other then semi value's party, pandithan's party also is on the way to close shop. The only differences, semi value's might be the last serving president of mic and Padmashri Pandithan might be the shortest serving party president in Malaysia Politics. Unfortunatley none of the cwc member's in both parties has "ball" to say "NO" to their president and I think that's the common value's shared by cwc members in both parties.

Onn Jaafar re-visited

Johor umno youth has send a suggestion to state administration on re-visiting Onn Jaafar's idea to accept the non-malays as a members. Onn Jaafar the founder and first president of umno suggested to open up the membership in 1950's but then the committee rejected the idea and he decided to resign from the post and party. He then started up the new party known as Parti Negara a multiracial party but couldnt survive due to the thickness of racial sentiments. Umno do accept the non-malays in Sabah if they have a bumiputera status but then refuse to accept the non-malays in peninsular Malaysia. After the 12th GE, as part of re-vitalise the party and to gain back the support from non-malays, Johor umno youth are trying to re-visit the Onn Jaafar's idea. The suggestion to re-visit Onn Jaafar's idea shows umno desperate to win the votes and heart of non-malays. [Tun Hussein Onn, Malaysia 3rd prime minister was born to Onn Jaafar and present eduaction minister, Hisamuddin is the grand son of Onn Jaafar]
