LTTE is a freedom fighter

Two civilians were killed and two wounded Tuesday evening when Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) bombed a suburb of Ki'linochchi town, firing air burst bombs over the UN compounds area with civilian settlements, 300 meters from UNICEF office near Kandasamy temple. A hostel used by UNDP and UNHCR staff workers was damaged in the attack. Six bombs were fired by two bombers, between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. The wounded were rushed to Ki'linochchi hospital.

The responsibility of good governance is to take care of all the citizens without any discrimination. Discriminating citizens in the name of race or religion is an act of terrorist. Sri Lanka Army are conducting a terrorist activity in the name of countering insurgency. They have gun down many Tamilian in the name of suspected LTTE rebels. They have bombarded the civilian locations in the name of suspected LTTE strong hold. What do we expect when the hand who supposed to safeguard the citizens is signing a military order to kill the Tamil people? Definitely any one in that situation will fight back and Tamilian see LTTE as a defender not a terrorist. A terrorist for government is a defender for the community and for my understanding LTTE is a freedom fighter group equal to the Palestinian's struggle for independence and sovereign state.

MIC protector of Tamil language?

Yesterday MIC hold another special meeting to address the Indian grievances and to strategies the new strategy to counter the political set-backs faced by the party. The out come of the meeting is not new. I believe the whole thing which was discussed is inside the HINDARF 18 points but the presenter failed to talk about the political reform. MIC actually need total reformation and not partially. The reform must start from MIC constitution and present leadership must set the date and majority of the state leadership must take the VSS scheme.

But the most damaging activities done yesterday were the attitude of the certain MIC leaders who was the die-hard of semi value. They propose and collected the signature of the delegates to close down Tamil newspaper "Makkal Osai". Doesn't make a sense, MIC called their self as a protector of the language yet they work hard to close another Tamil dailies. Semi Value must conduct special course for his stupid die-hards on the freedom of newspaper and explain to them, Makkal Osai circulation is far better then Tamil Nesan. So if they close down the paper just because they write the truth about semi value then it will bring more damages not only to MIC but for the country it self. The proposal raised the question, is it true MIC is the protector or destroyer of the Tamil language?
