M.Rajeshvari was six month pregnant when the immigration enforcement officer detained her in Kuala Lumpur. She could not communicate in national language and she doesn't remember her identity card number. The two reasons make her ended-up in Lenggeng immigration depot for illegals almost 11 months. The immigration department only realized the wrongful detention after 11 months and they released her without any regret for the the unlawful detention. [Thanks to Malaysian Indian Youth Council vice-president Andrew Raju] As a citizens of this country, her rights has been infringe and the authority is answerable to her and the son who born in detention centre. Government must apologies to her and compensate for the illegal incarceration. When millions illegal Indonesian was moving around freely, Rajeshvari was sent to depot centre on suspicion of being a Sri Lankan illegal. This shall not happen to any Malaysian and the authority should take the responsibility.
