World Press Freedom

The United Nations General Assembly declared World Press Freedom Day in 1993, following a recommendation adopted at the twenty-sixth session of UNESCO's General Conference in 1991. Every year, 3rd May is celebrated as World Press Freedom day. Press freedom is the basic fundamental principles to evaluate the degree / level of democratic system practiced. Unfortunatley in most countries especially 3rd world countries, press freedom is "dirty words" for the government. Let's celebrate this freedom day by advocating the rights for the Information. The third world country government should not hide their self behind the law to stop the people from accessing the information. Denying the access to Information is violation of human rights.
