Changes since 25 Nov 2007

  1. A special committee under the Home Affairs Ministry will be set up to handle the plight of 40,000 Indian children nationwide who do not have a birth certificate. [Bernama: Jan 21 08]
  1. First time in History, Malaysian Hindus, boycotted the Thaipusam celebration in Batu Caves. The boycott was the responses and a dissatisfaction signal towards the temple management especially Chairman Nadaraja and MIC President Samy Vellu. The temple management made a police report towards Hindu's who was in Bt Caves on 24 Nov 2007 in the name of vandalism which was untrue. Police also detained 31 of them and charged them under attempted murder but later drop the charge's due to the irrelevant evidence. (23 January 2008)
  1. Selangor tubuh badan selaras agama bagi menangani permasalahan yang timbul di kalangan bukan Islam. Badan berkenaan akan menumpukan kepada isu-isu yang berkaitan dengan agama Hindu. (Utusan Malaysia, Selasa 29 Januari 2008)

    1. INCREASING the intake of Indians in the civil service;

    4. INCREASING the microcredit loans for Indian businessmen;
    5. IMPROVING the quality of education at Tamil schools; and
    6. ORDERLY relocation of temples

  1. For the first time: Regarding the controversial demolition of a temple in Padang Jawa, Shah Alam, last year, Najib said it was a mistake to take such action a week before Deepavali. "They waited three years. Why couldn't they wait for another few more weeks before starting the demolition work?   1.  The government announced allocation a total of RM20 million to build and repair national Tamil type schools nationwide. On top of that, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo approved RM1.2 million to build a new building for SJKT Seaport in Taman Medan. Feb 5 2008, BERNAMA
  1. Dr Mohamad Khir said the issuance of licence for scrap metal business had been relaxed to give more opportunities for members of the Indian community to venture into the business. Police would interfere only when they involved in the sale of stolen items. Feb 5 2008, BERNAMA

I heard that there was a sudden promotions of many ASPs of Indian origin (inc Sikhs) in the Police force !
Indians are also suddenly being recruited by MayBank ! Well done, Hindraf ! Well done Makkal Sakthi
