The statue displayed in the premises of the SOAS, near its entrance.

The missing plaque

The prestigious School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London displays a statue of the ancient Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruva'l'luvar in its premises. The plaque noting him a Tamil scholar and the palm-leave book in his left hand are missing for some time. The book disappeared first and now the legend. In his right hand is a stylus used in writing on palm leaves in ancient times. The statue was found slightly vandalized even in 2002 as revealed in an interview by Dr. Stuart Blackburn of the Department of the Languages and Cultures of South Asia at the SOAS. In an interview that appeared in a publication 'Voicing Folkore' by M. D. Muthukumarasamy in 2002, Dr. Blackburn further said that the statue was sculpted in Tamil Nadu and was gifted by a former High Commissioner of India in London to the University. Gentleman game

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's ruling UPA alliance on Tuesday scored victory in the confidence vote in the Indian Parliament (Lok Sabha) in favor of the Indo-U.S. nuclear deal, enabling the ruling coalition to proceed with the nuclear agreement. The UPA secured 275 votes in 541 seats Lok Sabha, securing four more than the half-way mark. This is what we call as gentleman political game and umno have to learn more from Indian democracy system. Umno are so worried and they are using all the dirty tactics including using SB to keep track the movement of the Sabah and Sarawak law makers even to tape their telephone conversation. They bring back the circus game, "sodomy" allegation to demoralize the opposition supporters. The latest dirty tactics was back door discussion with PAS in the name of religion and race to topple Selangor state government. Umno shall learn how to be gentleman politicians.

Why fear to give a copy of police report?

Wondering, why police are so fear to give a copy of police report [lodge by Saiful] to the defendant, in this case Anwar Ibrahim. If the report was done without any conspiracy or ill intention, then police don't need to worry to deliver a copy. In 2nd sodomy allegations, it's look and sound viet where the defendant are begging for the copy but the police are running away with various reason. Well, this new allegations will really backfire not only NTR but umno in specific and BN in general.
