2nd Anniversary - HINDRAF

25 Nov will be remembered forever. Even though two years passed but the date was very fresh in every Indians mind. It was the day where Indians went to street to protest their unhappiness towards umno discriminations. While the original leaders of Hindraf is not together any more but their message to Indians to stand firm for our rights still prevail. Valga Hindraf.

Shame on you Kohilan Piilai

Shame very very shame Kohilan. You fail on your duty as human beings. You have defended the violations of human rights in Sri Lanka. Supposed you should stand firm to knock on mahindra rajapaksa head for his violations on human rights and genocide of innocent Tamilians but you failed. You think you will get Dato ship by defending the war criminals, then you are wrong. Sri Lanka genocide on Tamilians is not Sri Lanka internal matters. Genocide is international issue. Don't bullshit. Shame on you Kohilan

morally wrong Najib

Najib bang CUEPACS saying "its morally wrong" to demand for bonus. By reading utusan meloya, my understanding was the economy in a good shape then why it's morally wrong to demand? If demanding bonus is morally wrong then how about his image as Altantuya boyfriend. She was killed in terrorist way and the whole world know who is behind the murder. Sir don't you think it's morally wrong for you to run the country?

Sorry I'm not Fool

Muhyiddin said we are equal under the sun while Najib deny umno is a racist party. What a joke from this racist party leaders. Umno policy was race, religion and nation (bangsa, agama, negara) then was changed to religion, race and nation (agama, bangsa dan negara) due to the rise of PAS influence. At certain extend umno has became more extremist and racist compared to PAS. After 2008 political tsunami umno was seen begging the voters that they are not the racist party. At the same time for non-malays umno was seen preaching all malaysian is equal and the latest was muhyiddin statement. While universal human rights declaration clear said, all human beings is equal umno was in denial until the voters decided to deny their political ground. If what Muhyiddin and Najib was seen preaching to win the heart and mind of the voters is true then they must give equal opportunity to all the deserving Malaysian.

In-fact we need 1uitm, 1mrsm, 1 entry sistem to university, 1policy etc not sweet slogan 1Malaysia only. Sorry I'm not Fool.

Spectator video captures SL Police, SLA kill mentally ill Tamil youth

[TamilNet, Saturday, 31 October 2009, 12:37 GMT]

Sri Lanka Police and Sri Lanka Army soldiers beat a mentally ill Tamil youth and forced the youth to drown near the sea near Bambalapitya, Colombo, railway station Thursday. The youth was identified as Balavarnam Sivakumar, 26, of Ratmalana, according to media reports in Colombo, which belatedly listed the youth's identity. "The entire country [Sri Lanka] watched in horror, as a group of heavily built men attacked the mentally unstable [Tamil] youth with wooden poles while he pleaded for mercy, when it was telecast on several news bulletins on Thursday night," Daily Mirror said.
Police spokesman Nimal Mediwake said the Police and Army personnel who had allegedly assaulted the youth had been identified and would be arrested.

The youth has had mental depression for nearly two years and had received medical treatment in a mental hospital, Sivakumar's brother told the media.

Sivakumar had the habit of throwing stones at vehicles, and the Thursday killing followed a series of incidents involving similar actions by Sivakumar, according to the media.

A video broadcast by Channel-4 allegedly showing Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers extra-judicially executing Tamil captives stripped naked and hands tied behind their back, has drawn worldwide attention, and independent forensic analyses in UK and USA are ongoing to rebut Colombo's cavaliar dismissal of the video as fake, according to reports. Two editors of Sunday Leader have received death threats for covering developing stories on the Channel-4 video.

MEDIA STATEMENT

Date: 29 October 2009

Recent changes to the leadership in Keadilan have caused confusion and consternation among some.  I recognise that not everyone will be pleased with decisions made by the party's leadership and not everyone will appreciate the difficulty we face in seeking to accommodate all views, including those of the divisions and branches which make up the backbone of the party, while striving to guide our party towards achieving its goals.

As our party grows in number and transforms into a national organization we have struggled at times to identify right strategy and mix of leadership that will carry us to the next level. Along the way we have encountered great challenges and have also uncovered promising new talent. Our task remains a work in progress and the announcements made this week are based on consensus and consultation within the party to work towards a better future.

Keadilan was established with a mission to be a unifying force for Malaysians of all races and religions and restore the integrity of the principles enshrined in the Federal Constitution.  This mission carries unprecedented import and its pursuit confronts us with unparalled challenges.

Over the years many have poured scorn on our aspirations for a brighter future and have derided our belief in an end to racial politics and rampant corruption.  And yet we, with our partners in the Pakatan Rakyat, made historic progress towards restoring democracy, freedom and the Rule of Law. We have done so despite a hostile media and the relentless attacks on us by the institutions of the government and the unlimited resources of the UMNO-led BN coalition.

I acknowledge the setbacks that we have faced since the March elections.  Political parties are complex organisms and political coalitions are neither crystallised overnight nor even in a fortnight.  The frustrations which have been expressed by some colleagues within the party and by some supporters are valid and I remain open to engaging all parties on the principle of mutual respect, understanding and an unrelenting commitment to the principles of justice and fairness.

The future of the nation does not lie in the hands of any one individual nor does our party nor does this coalition. I continue to ask the ongoing faith and patience of the people in supporting the mission of Keadilan and of Pakatan Rakyat.

Who will do this if not umno?

Selangor state governemnt decided to relocate the Hindu temple from Section 19 to Section 23 Shah Alam. While Shah Alam MP has played his role on delivering a good explanation on why the temple need to be relocate, some umno thugs have provocated the Malay community to go against the decision. After the Friday prayers, few of them demonstrated and carried severed cow head to state secretariat as a sign of protest. If they want to show their disatisfaction then it's their right but carrying the cow head purposely when they knew the cow was very sensitives to Hindus is totally wrong. Najib's instruction to police to take immediate action is very much welcomed since he knew this demonstration was totally against his 1malaysia concept. He also shall ask his party disclipinary board to take action against his member for going over the board.

Where is the justice?

International community is answerable to this genocide. Why IC are so silent eventhough the world admit genocide was committed by government of sri lanka? Why tamilians become victims in this tiny island? If this continue then I dont think the peace will prevail in sri lanka.

Bar Council Press Release

Press Release: Clarification regarding Rohaizat Othman
(Rohaizat is umno candidate in Permatang Pasir, Pulau Pinang state by-election)

In response to inquiries from the media, we wish to clarify Rohaizat Othman's status as an advocate and solicitor.

The Advocates and Solicitors Disciplinary Board struck Rohaizat Othman off the Roll of Advocates and Solicitors on 7 March 2008 after he was found guilty of misconduct.  The Disciplinary Board's decision arose from an investigation into the complaint lodged against Rohaizat Othman by the purchaser of a piece of real property.  According to the complaint, Rohaizat Othman failed to refund almost RM 161,000 to the complainant after the transaction was aborted.

Rohaizat Othman appealed against the decision of the Disciplinary Board to the High Court, and the appeal was dismissed on 12 August 2009.  He is therefore legally disqualified from practising as an advocate and solicitor.

The finding of misconduct is personal to Rohaizat Othman, as the Disciplinary Board would not hold a lawyer liable for the actions of his/her law partner(s).
