Thaipusam updates: 3.30pm 23 Jan 08

[updated on 24 Jan 08; 6.55pm] [when I was updating the blog, I received the sms saying, Uthayakumar warded after hunger strike] Governemnt control media said, there was 1 million visitors to Bt Caves and then another 1 million in Penang Thaipusam. So in that sense what is the actual population of the Indians in Malaysia? When I visited Bt.Caves, there was no traffic jam and the main entrance of the Bt Caves temple was free flow with out any queue. The call for boycott is a success and definitely the temple managment and semi value will deny this fact. I will upload the picture and you can see from your own eyes. Let the world see on their own eye and decide whether semi value has integrity or not. "Semi Value said, the crowd was normal"

Hi Indian Malaysian's, dont be carried away with the Thaipusam holiday declaration in KL and Putrajaya. We want a fair portion of the economic wealth, a fair percentage of university intake, a fair representation in the civil service, a fair welfare treatment for the needy poor. We are not asking for more just a fair share a citizen should get.

In 2007, by this time, it was a big crowd

but then this year it's totally different.

People decided to boycott the Bt.Caves Thaipusam.

Changes since 25 Nov 2007

1. 25 Nov 2007 is the occasion that brings back the Indians dignity in this country. Indians has lost it under the Semi Value's leadership but now we got it back.

2. Now Indians stand united. All this while other Malaysians used to say, Indians are not united and that cause the bigger problem. Now people are smiling each other when they meet in street. {If you don't then better to practice it from now it self]

3. We can see younger generations are going to temple. A good indicator for the future of Hinduism in Malaysia.

4. Political awareness among the community [the most successful]. Indians has come out from the BN stigma. All this while people believe only Semi Value can fight for their rights but not now any more.

5. Cabinet decided "No Demolition of Temples" any where in Malaysia until further notice. DBKL internal source also confirmed about this. The source said any temple demolition must get the approval from Cabinet [I believe this instruction will be removed after the general election]

6. Selangor state government announced nominal quit rent of RM1 annually for national type Tamil and Chinese schools. All the previous years' debts will be write-off and school just need to write to the district office for administration purpose. [Dec 13 2007]

7. For the first time, Semi Value, was booo and shoo away by the Indians in public programs in PISA Penang. He realised time for him to go. [24 December 2007]

8. PM it self agreed to meet the Indian NGO's to voice out their grievances.

9. Selangor MB willing to meet the temple management to hear their grouses.


10. For the first time, the political party in Malaysia are started to look at Indians as a hero for fighting their rights without fear. They recognised, Indian voters are very important to sustain their seat in next general election.

11. Prime Minister announced Thaipusam day as a public holiday for Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya which I call it as a limited public holiday. According to Semi Value, he was fighting for it since 1986 but just got it but he denied the fact, Indians got it because of 25 No 2007. [20 Jan 2008]

K.R.Parthiban shortest serving BN Yang Berhormat ?

He was a government school teacher attach to district education department prior to his involvement in active politics. When the late Sivalingam passed away, no one thought he will be the best choices. Even the press was speculating a few top guns in MIC including the nephews of Semi Value. But end of the day, when PKR decided to select a local boy with background as a business tycoon, BN has no idea other than giving Semi Value a option either "you come up with younger and educated" candidate or face the music of loosing the seat to PKR or UMNO will fill their candidates. There was a say, UMNO was interested to swap the seat with MIC.

Then Parthiban came to the picture and so many speculation among the MIC members it self saying Parthiban is not the Semi Value's candidates. In-fact Semi Value has to get the Selangor MB's approval before announcing the candidates makes more speculations. Some said Vel Pari was pist-off coz Semi Value rejects his candidates T.Mohan. Actually Semi Value didn't reject it because he don't have any say on candidates and on top of that, T.Mohan has misbehaved in previous by-election when source said he is the one who punched DAP supporters.

So when the by-election is over people start to speculate, Semi Value will drop him in general election because he was not the president's man. Recently some insider reveal that Parthiban managed to register some 1000 new voters in Ijok and was mentioning to the insider, if Semi Value rejects him as a candidate then all of them will vote to opposition. General election is totally different if we compare with the by-election because the top guns will run out of time to campaign house by house for the votes, so in that sense this 1000 voters [if true] can decide whether MIC@BN will retain the seat or not if Parthiban dropped.

Don't be shocked if Parthiban lost the seat even after BN retain him because people in Ijok are damn angry with him. The letter issued by state government during the by-election, saying they are the owner of the land is actually just a political drama and the letter didn't carry any meaning. The land office said the letter is not a grant and they have been cheated by UMNO@BN government. People are just waiting a time to teach a lesson for making them to be a fool.

Full with grandpa and grandma

As expected, Cheras Badminton hall was packed with the paid attendees not the original MIC man. They was welcomed with the inspirational songs and PM and his wife with the garland.

As expected too, PM says we give public holiday on Thaipusam for KL and Putrajaya. Other than that all other talk was rhetoric. PM said, govt will do his best to overcome the poverty among the Malaysians. But every one who attended the gathering knew it's just a political gimmick not more than that. Under the RMKe 9, no initiative to overcome the poverty among the Indian community yet he is saying govt will do his best. Am I that stupid to accept the statement boldly?

Almost every newspaper mentioned that the "organiser says the crowd was 21 thousand" and Tamil Nesan add there were a few thousands waiting outside the hall. Malaysiakini reported 15K while Sun says 10K. For me it's a good joke b'coz, everyone knew, Cheras Badminton hall have a seat for 3K and if we used the badminton coat then plus minus we can add another few thousands and definitely the hall cannot take for 21K. I would say the crowd was not more than 10K and it was full with grandpa and grandma. So does it a success for Mr.Semi Value to say MIC has a support from Indian community?

The community are hoping for the space to breathe not a limited public holiday. Giving a public holiday in KL and Putrajaya doesn't carry any meaning for those who are living under poverty. In fact if govt didn't give any holiday also, Indians are going to get the annual leave and went for the celebrations.

The most joking part was, Semi Value was damn happy and said" we was fighting for this from 1986 and now our dreams come true", which he refuse to accept the fact, all this changes is happening because the Indians struggle through HINDRAF. Indians should not forget about Nov 25 and continue the struggle for the release of 5 brothers and welcome back our brother who is alone in overseas.

[updated on 16 Jan 08, 10:53pm: Y.B.Kula on his blog wrote all 5 detainees is united and they will continue the struggle] Malaysiakini reported, T.Vasanthakumar lodged a police report agains P.Uthayakumar regarding the misuse of the donations from Indian community. Friend of mine also called asking my opinion about the report, which disturbs his mind. I did gave my opinion and do believe I must share it with other justice seekers too.

Simple question that we need to think is, how the news was leaked from Kamunting detention centre by sms since last week it self when none of the media has reported it? The sms was spread widely that Vasan will make a police report. For readers information's, so far only R.S.Thanethiran has a weekly access to detention centre. But then he didn't release any such info. So in that sense, how the message was in circulation? Definitely propaganda machinery started to create confusion among the community to disunite and weaken the struggle. Psychologically when we read the news, definitely people will get confuse.

None of the electronic media reported the "police report" and so goes to the internet media except for M'kini. In-fact Bernama also didn't mention about it at all. So does the news saying Vasan make a report is true or just propaganda to disunite the Indians with the specific motive to gain the Indian votes? If the report is true, then definitely propaganda media has highlighted it and follow up news with the "so called" mic leaders, for their comments but none at all. Today, if I'm not wrong, only Semi Velue's paper reported about the "police report". So does it really a conscious police report or a "turning over" report just for the sake of propaganda?

Assume Vasan, had lodged a report saying, Uthaya has misused the fund. Can any one proof to me, that Vasan was conscious when he lodges a report? We should not forget, all 5 are under the ISA detention for the political reason and they are having 99.99% of Indian voters support. Meaning that all the supporters will vote against the umno lead bn and this might make umno lead bn lost more seats in general election. So definitely, umno has to execute psychological war to "over turn" the voters mind to support them back but how are they going to do that? They need to "over turn" someone among 5 and discredit the others who can't be over turned. By overturning the detainees then the Indians will be in confuse and easily can be turn to support the umno lead bn.

We should not forget one of the specialities of the Special Branch is "turning over" the people's stand, to go along with the political masters who are in power. If you have followed the Al-Arqam leader Ashari Muhammad case, he was over-turned under the 60 days ISA detention and in live TV programme he admitted his teaching was out of the Islamic value and apologised for that but until today, people still support him and more centre's has been set-up to reform the Al-Arqam movement and the authority knew, Ashari is behind the reform of the movement. Matters that people are aware now, he was not conscious during his live programme due to the "turning over" process.

So the same situation might/has happen to Vasan and other 4 detainees. The best strategy is to discredit Uthaya's integrity and genuine struggle by "turning over" either one among four. By doing this the supporters it self will be in confuses. I do believe the turning over process might happen to Vasan and other detainees too. If that is true then Indians should not get angry with Vasan or others because only those who go through the "turning over" process will understand the situation, not me, not you will understand it.

So what we need to do? I would say, "Stay Focus" and remember Indians must show their dissatisfaction through the ballot paper in coming election. Only through ballot paper we can change our future and only through ballot paper we can secure the release of our 5 brothers. Do not forget about Wathya Moorthy too who are in self imposed exile to continue the struggle for the justice. If we want him to back, then we have to show our dissatisfaction through the ballot paper.

Even if any one of them released and call the Indians to vote umno lead bn then we must understand SB has "over turn" him. Do not get angry and stay focus and show the dissatisfaction through the ballot paper as one of the way to show our gratefulness to all our heroes who are willing to fight for our rights.

Stay focus and do not forward the bad psychological message about our brothers and our struggle. [Forward this write-up to as many Indians as you can]

Semi Velue Senile

Semi Velue while commenting the shooting of mic's man, the late Krishnasamy said, people get agitated with the negative write-up about the MIC and government. That might be the motive for the gun down of Krishnasamy. Meaning that, Semi Velue believed "politics" might be the cause of the shooting. Oh my GOD, I don't understand this old white elephant thinking. I do believe Semi Velue is getting senile due to his ageing.

If politics is the reason, then the hired killers will gun-down Semi Velue not Krishnasamy. He is just a state level politicians and not even the state EXCO member. He is just a mic CWC member and not even in top position of party. In fact, I'm dare to say, Krishnasamy don't have future in politics for longer term. So no one is going to gain if he is taken off the track. In that sense, doesn't make logic to gun him on political reason.

Definitely the motive is not the politics but I will not get shock if Semi Velue put blame on his political rivalry or HINDRAF.
